On Saturday (November 1), Dave Grohl teased a surprise Foo Fighters pop-up show in Korn’s hometown of Bakersfield, California, by posting an Instagram photo of himself wearing an Adidas Korn tracksuit. Grohl captioned the post, “This time of year always makes me think of Kornfields,” which prompted playful replies from various Korn members in the comments, including frontman Jonathan Davis, who wrote, “🔥🔥🔥 I’ll send you one of mine ❤️😂.” The next morning, Foo Fighters quickly announced the intimate show at the Nile Theater planned for Monday night (October 3), with tickets immediately selling-out. This surprise gig follows a series of recent Foos’ pop-up shows featuring new drummer Ilan Rubin, which precedes their 2026 North American stadium tour with Queens of the Stone Age. Additionally, Foo Fighters just released their second new single of 2025, “Asking for a Friend,” with Grohl promising the track is “one of many songs to come.” (Consequence of Sound)
